I really enjoyed this work! You've done an excellent job of contrasting all those bright pops of color with inventive whites.
I love the use of multiple eyes and hands, the twisted piano keys, the tentacles and the multitude of faces caught in the white swirls. Even within this psychedelic chaos, I appreciate that the elelphant-like figure is still the focal point, that you see her gentle expression before you lose yourself to all the other elements.
I think this is fantastic!!
(I also appreciate your honesty about your choice of creative stimuli in an earlier response! )
Thanks so much for all your observations, it means a lot that you looked at so much of it's detail.
And yes, I am being very candid about my love of nature (cannabis) and I'm getting sick of how terrible the drug war is going. I live in Phoenix Arizona, we have a huge problem with kidnapping and rape because of the Mexican drug cartels, and they get all their money because most easily grown drugs are illegal, and America is the biggest buyer of their drugs, and also, the cartels have American grade military equipment.
Being in the southwest, I feel more a part of this strange problem. It's getting worse and worse, 40 years of the drug war, trillion dollars spent locking innocent drug users up and making our cities just alcohol and tobacco obsessed worlds.
We really need to change prohibition, it just makes our society a big police state whose priorities aren't to protect us, but to make as much money off of us.
Oh man, I've heard horror stories about the sick and twisted things that the Mexican cartels are doing That you live so close to it must be taxing, to say the least. I'm definitely a proponent for legalization throughout the U.S.; I would like to think that doing so could help eliminate at least some of the horrid activities from across the border (and within as well!).
As much as I appreciate being a U.S. citizen, I do believe that our system is indeed corrupt and full of people that will fall into the pocket of whoever has the most money. Those same people thrive on greed and selfishness, not to mention willful ignorance.
Everyone just needs to take a few steps back, get a few hits and OBSERVE.
Right on man, I wish there was more I could do than just talk about it. I do make art that supports it, but that's about it.
America had a great vision, and this prohibition thing wasn't one of them. I Love America, but dang, it's doing some really terrible things, and has perpetuated cruel things around the world- with psychotic ideas like making nature against the law...
some acide and lots of weed. Legalize it, seriously, it's nature, it's psychotic how much money goes into perpetuating a fear of nature! cannabis is a healing and giving plant. Inspires lots of creativity.
